The third annual Turkey Trot to benefit community service projects, is being held by Altrusa International of Brazos at the Cameron Park from 8am to noon on Saturday, November 22nd. The Turkey Trot will consist of family fun competitions for adults and children that include runs, fast walks and best costume. Prizes will be given to the winners and many door prizes will be awarded.

Last year the Brazos Alustra Club raised $2,000 from sponsers, donors, and Turkey Trot entrants. The money benefitted seven community projects. Seven more projects are planned this year ranging from the Rapoport Academy to CARITAS to A Storybook Christmas. This year the club hopes to raise $3,000 to fund its new community projects.
